Pearl Harbor, the “day that will live in infamy" will be recognized and honored by a special event at the Schricker House and the Starke County History Center. Both Starke County Historical Society sites will be open on Saturday, December 7. From 10:00-1:00 at the Schricker House, reenactors will share information about World War II. The home of Henry F. Schricker, Indiana's governor on Pearl Harbor, will be open for tours. The Starke County History Center will also be open that day, featuring a display on the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant and other military memorabilia.
