In the dining room, the corner cabinet belonged to the Schrickers. It sits in the same corner as during their time here. Some of Schricker’s everyday china is on display on the top shelf. Depression glass and part of the family’s ‘good’ china are displayed on the other shelves and on the table.
Also on display here are 6 copper-etched crystal footed dessert dishes used by the Schrickers. One of Schricker’s granddaughters shared a story told by her father. Every Sunday (and only on Sundays) the family dessert was served in these dishes - ice cream, pudding, jello, or small pieces of cake.
