Schricker Room

Upstairs one room is dedicated to Schricker memorabilia.  Exhibits in this room change to highlight and share different information about both the family and Gov. Schricker's political career.   

Many political artifacts from both Gov. Schricker’s  campaigns and terms in office are displayed here. From the 1940 campaign, advertising and campaign buttons are featured.  Also a booklet shares newspaper clippings from 1940-41 covering from his nomination to his inauguration.  His inaugural addresses from both 1941 and 1949 are on the second shelf.  Other memorabilia fills the cabinet. Above the cabinet are photos from his terms in office.

One item of interest is a photo of the Schrickers' at Truman's 1949 inauguration.  If you look at the photo, note the license plate pictured - the actual plate is on display next to the photo.
